But, of all the opportunities that were open to us, little did we consider that, within a few years, we’d have earned international renown as a leading fit out contractor for the museum sector.
It was in 2002 that we took on our first museum fit-out project. Within a few years, Queen Elizabeth II had opened our largest museum project to date, at Whitehaven. There followed numerous such projects, including a £3.3 million contract to totally refurbish the Coventry Transport Museum.
Refurbishment at the National Maritime Museum
More recently, we have been awarded internal fit out contracts museums in Lincoln and Design Museum London. In 2017, National Maritime Museum awarded us the contract for the Endeavour Galleries which opened in September 2018.
Our museum contracts aren’t restricted to the UK. We now own a substantial portfolio of world-class museums and interpretive display fit out work in the Middle East. As a result, we now enjoy global recognition as one of the country’s leading fit out contractors in the museum and heritage sector.
Collaboration is the key
Experience has taught us that the best results come from a team approach, with collaboration playing a key role – collaboration with our clients and collaboration with their partners. We use their insight and perspective in specialist areas such as AV software and hardware, display cases and physical interactive systems.
