Realm were awarded the fit-out of this permanent exhibition about the life and voyages of Captain James Cook which was split over four newly refurbished Galleries.
The project consisted of bespoke Setworks joinery involving many techniques in terms of finishes and materials that had not been executed before. This gave rise to very detailed discussions during the design development stage as well as sufficient prototyping to prove the integrity of the design could be maintained.
The Setworks were complimented by an array of specialist Sub-contractor packages including Proprietary Showcases, AV Hardware, Graphics, Interactives and Lighting. Not only did we co-ordinate and manage these packages but we also became heavily involved with the interface between these trades and the client direct appointments such as the AV Software (of which there were 2 companies), the lighting designer, conservation team and object handlers, 2D designers and of course the 3D designers Casson Mann.
