Award Winning Iconic Project

This project earned a 2018 RIBA London award. The task was to fit out the top floor of Aston Webbs Grade 1 listed 1909 wing. The goal was to create a contemporary bespoke space for V&A Members, combining beautiful bespoke furniture. We manufactured these, using reclaimed materials, such as the teak floor and marble entrance, using salvaged materials provided by the V&A.

This was a complex and highly-serviced fast-track project. There were constraints caused by the limitations of access working on the top floor of the museum, during the summer when visitor numbers were extremely high.

We delivered an immaculate, high-quality finish, using solid walnut with leather, polished stainless steel, mirror and terrazzo. We succeeded in creating a stunning and atmospheric backdrop, which perfectly compliments the retained architectural features of the space.
